This month has been a whirlwind of events. The previous tenant ended our contract, prompting us to search for a replacement. Fortunately, I found a suitable tenant—thanks to the power of the internet, which made communication between Belgium and Shanghai much easier. With my mom and sister’s support, the transition was swift and smooth.

I decided to run to Electrical Engineering Division Building of Cambridge. Then I did.

Today was the first time I felt the chill of the air during my run. I would like to try a new route and quickly selected Kasteel Koude Keuken as my destination.

To be honest, I didn’t plan to run 15 km today. But as someone with a terrible sense of direction, I somehow ended up going the wrong way, and once I realized it, I had no choice but to keep going. So, 15 km it was! ORZ!

Today, I started my day with a refreshing 5 km run, followed by a visit to the Saturday morning market. I picked up some fresh fruits and a beautiful flower for a colleague. Later in the afternoon, I met with a group of Chinese colleagues and made dumplings together.

After a long break, recovering from illness, a trip to Vienna, and admittedly some laziness, I finally completed my first 10 km run of 2025 today!

Today, I learned that my landlord’s mom underwent euthanasia. It left me reflecting on a conversation we had not long ago.

Public transportation in China is incredibly affordable. For instance, taking the subway in Shanghai typically costs only 4 to 6 RMB (approximately €0.5 to €0.8). That’s pocket change! 🤑 As someone used to this cost-efficiency, traveling in Belgium, or any other European country, feels like public transport is reaching directly into my wallet! 😂💸
